The method

Nine environmental variables, read in every space.

Every assessment — of perception or of memory — goes through the same nine variables. That is what makes environments, projects and respondents comparable to one another.

  • Biophilia

    Presence of nature, vegetation and living elements in the space.

  • Lighting

    Natural and artificial light, intensity and visual comfort.

  • Colors

    Palette, contrast and the emotional response they trigger.

  • Shapes & textures

    Geometry, materials and what the surface communicates to the touch.

  • Climate & air

    Temperature, ventilation and air quality.

  • Personalization

    How much the space allows appropriation by those who use it.

  • Aromas & tastes

    The sense with the most direct access to affective memory.

    Occupancy density, privacy and relationships between people.

Environmental Self-Perception Scale

What do you feel in the environment you are in right now?

We often go through our routine on autopilot and never notice how environments affect us. EAPA® consciously awakens that perception and records the experience lived in the space.

Memorable Environments Scale

Think of a moment when you felt this. Where were you?

Part of how people respond to external stimuli comes from memories lived throughout life. EAMME® recovers the reference memory and identifies the environmental patterns behind it.

    Typology, location and scope — in your personal space or shared with the practice.

    Map the environments

    Each environment gets a target feeling: joy, surprise, focus, lightness or coziness.

    Collect the answers

    Send the public link and receive anonymous answers, with no login. Respondents can save and continue later.

  4. 04

    Read the report

    Answers become indexes, charts and guidance — per environment or aggregating the whole project.

Every chart carries its own “how to interpret” note and, for the standout variables, the scientific reference backing the recommendation.

Access

How to get your licence

Use of the tools is possible through the NEUROARQ® Experience Course, which trains students in their application and usage. At the end of the training, the student receives a licence for a 2-year period and access to the digital platform.
